'Witchcraft III'

Single channel video

2023

Introduction

Witches symbolise mystical power, and I have chosen to bring them into the public space to call for a re-examination of the legitimacy of social norms through a dramatic interpretation of power structures. Through this performance, I hope the audience can reflect on social norms, power structures and the role of the individual in them in an experience that transcends traditional frameworks.

Masks

Exposing masks in everyday public spaces such as streets and parks, combining masks with the natural environment in an attempt to create a dramatic result.

Book

朝阳 Facing The Sun

introduction

I have recorded my thoughts and the interesting scenes I have seen in my life in Europe through text and photography and collected them in this book. Showing information about the diversity and complexity of Europe by capturing scenes from my life in Europe provokes the audience to discuss cultural, social and political issues. It can be a platform to provide viewers with different perspectives, prompting discussions on topics of power, identity, culture clashes and social justice.

Words (parts)

/

I belong to the North

In dreams, tracing the shape of the loess

Standing on a hillside,

marking my territory

Running amidst the lively crowd,

shouting with joy

/

I savored a bite of orange

You planted a kiss on my cheek

The sea, shrouded in the black of night

We indulged in abandon

Much like fish kissing the cresting waves

/

I wish,

In this moment, I were in space

Transformed into a fish

Compelling myself to drink plenty of whiskey

Immediately vomiting it out here

Candles promptly sprout nearby

We navigate through the cactus' crevices

You see

I'm also swimming in the soft green desert

Lighting a cigarette with you

/

All things in disarray and fragments

Locusts incessantly chattering

I was born to face the dusk

I am my own lighthouse

/

Waterloo

Who wakes up the day?

It breathes in the gentle breeze,

Welcoming the rosy dawn.

People are too busy,

At this moment, I don't need friends either.

The god of art museums

Pulp acrylic

Introduction

The art museum is a symbol of cultural power and represents the authority that defines art. Under this authority, art is defined, accepted and appreciated. Exposing to some extent the influence of power structures on the value judgement of art, the establishment of the god of the art museum is both a satire on the authority of the art museum and a way of dissolving it.
